PC MARS Enhancement Package

PC MARS Enhancement Package (EPAK) in a three faceted enhancement to PC MARS for DOS.

The first facet of EPAK is the ability to enter detailed asset/liability inventories into the programs data files. These inventory items are listed by asset type and enterprise. This data may then be interfaced with the users PC MARS accounting data to produce YTD accrued income and financial statements. Specifically the reports that may be generated are:

1. Detail listings of first-of-year and current inventories or assets and liabilities.
2. A YTD accrued income statement showing YTD cash items and inventory changes.
3. A YTD financial statement with some ratio analysis.

The second facet of EPAK is one which provides the user the capability to record crop yield and production records, livestock birth, death and weaning records. This data - together with the detailed inventories and imported purchase/sale data from PC MARS - permits the user to generate crop and livestock inventory/production status reports.

The third facet of EPAK is one which permits the user to access PC MARS data - specifically the enterprise data - to reallocate the GEN (general) enterprise account code totals to specific production enterprises. If users have been allocating expenses and incomes to their obvious enterprises, but have been leaving the more vague one to GENeral, then this feature provides a way to allocate GEN costs, etc. to a specific enterprise. Allocation may be by a percentage, all a specific enterprise or absolute dollars may be assigned.

The PC MARS Enhancement Package is designed for use in conjunction with the PC MARS accounting software and will not operate as a stand alone package.

Requirements and Limits

• IBM PC compatible computer with hard drive recommended
• 640K memory or more (560K free conventional memory)
• Printers:
  • Epson dot-matrix or true compatible
  • HP compatible laser or inkjet using PCL™ language resident ON PRINTER
  • Selected other inkjet printers that print in MS DOS mode.
